Travel the Ice Road
The Madeline Island ferry runs through January, or until the ice is too thick. Then the windsled takes over, ferrying people across until the ice is solid enough to drive on. The ice road to La Pointe on Madeline Island is the only ice road that appears on official state maps! www.madferry.com
